The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, is currently seeking a Social Media & Marketing Outreach Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Media and Communications Manager, the Social Media & Marketing Outreach Coordinator is responsible for all of The Citadel’s social media channels, content creation and gathering, and marketing outreach efforts with partners, collaborators and co-promoters. This role works closely with other members of the Citadel Marketing & Sales team to execute the social media strategy, and cross-functional team members supporting initiatives for Leadership, Community Engagement, Education, Hospitality, and the Artistic departments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Social Media Management:
- All management related to all The Citadel’s social media channels.
- Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and TikTok.
- Organic posting and scheduling.
- Comment and message management.
- Content creation, gathering, and dispersal.
- Monthly reporting.
- Marketing Administration:
- Sharing events, shows, and information with other digital partners (Theatre Alberta, Explore Edmonton, etc.), gathering and coordinating marketing information.
- Marketing Outreach:
- Working with the Marketing and Sales Director to identify potential marketing outreach opportunities.
- Coordinating outreach opportunities like marketing activations, and experiential marketing to further strengthen the overall marketing plan.
- Attending Citadel and external events to capture social media content and representation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Marketing or Communications from a post-secondary institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of social media management with a marketing background.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the theatre and/or entertainment industry.
- Experience in some graphic design would be considered an asset.
- Experience with outlined platforms.

Salary Rage: $50,000 – $60,000 per year.
