The Citadel Theatre’s “Pay What You Choose” program, presented by Alberta Blue Cross, was developed with the intention of improving access to live, professional theatre for those who may not be able to commit to a regular price ticket.
To further improve access to entry for patrons, there will be two chances to get tickets: an email with links to purchase tickets online, and an in-person lineup.

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS
The next Pay What You Choose production is Murder on the Orient Express! Sign up to the online form by September 15, 2026 to receive the email on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 12:00pm with exclusive ticket links. Purchase up to two Pay What You Choose tickets to one of the following performances:
- September 20, 2026, at 7:30pm
- September 26, 2026, at 1:30pm
- October 10, 2026, at 1:30pm (Accessible Performance)
A limited number of tickets are available for online purchase and may sell out quickly. Your next opportunity will be the in-person lineup on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 5:00pm.

If unsuccessful in purchasing tickets online, patrons have another chance to get tickets to the Sunday evening performance. Line up at the Box Office on Sunday, September 20, 2026 starting at 5:00pm. If you make it to the front of the line, you can pay what you choose for either one or two tickets to that night’s performance. There is a limit of two tickets per household.

RULES OF ENTRY
- Patrons who were successful in purchasing Pay What You Choose tickets online are not eligible for additional tickets through the in-person line up.
- Failure to confirm payment and pick up your tickets may exclude you from future Pay What You Choose events.
- Tickets are limited and subject to availability. Not eligible for an exchange or refund. Limit of two tickets per household. Individuals or patrons in the same household may not purchase more than two tickets under multiple profiles or accounts.
- Any individual who purchases more than two Pay What You Choose tickets will be excluded from future Pay What You Choose events.
