Getting to the Citadel

BUS

Several bus routes provide service to the Citadel Theatre from all corners of the city.

  • Frequent routes: 1A, 1B, 2, 5, 8, 9
  • Express routes: 110X, 120X, 130X, 150X, 500X, 510X (until Valley Line Southeast opens), 900X, 940X
  • Local routes: 131, 111, 701, 901
  • Regional routes: 201 (St. Albert Transit), 401, 411 (Strathcona County)

LRT

The Capital and Metro Lines provide service to Churchill Station. This station is located under
the Citadel Theatre and provides direct access through the underground pedway system.

When the Valley Line Southeast opens, it will stop at Churchill Stop on 102 Avenue in front of
the Stanley Milner Library, which is half a block away from the Citadel Theatre.

Door Closure

The doors leading up to the Citadel from the LRT station are currently closed. Please proceed to the stairwell entrance in P2 of the Library Parkade leading up to the Lee Pavilion doors.

How to Access The Citadel:

Exit the glass doors into the Library Parkade in P2.

On your left are doors to the elevator which takes you into The Citadel. The elevator will remain open for use.

Or walk along the “Pedway Path” turning left at the Buffalo mural. 

Turn left up the steps up to the P2 South stairwell “99 St Exit”. 

Go up the parkade stairwell to the Citadel’s Lee Pavilion doors.

PLANNING A TRIP BY TRANSIT

There are several ways to plan a trip using ETS:

  • The third-party Transit app, which can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play
  • Google Maps
  • The ETS Trip Planner
  • Route brochures for current ETS bus routes can be found at edmonton.ca/RouteBrochures

  • Stanley A. Milner Library Parkade (Beneath the Citadel)
    10165 100 Street
    Entrances on 99 Street and Rice Howard Way
    $10 nightly from 5pm to 1am
    This parkade uses EPark machines and accepts coin/credit or the EPark app.

    Street level parking rates may vary based on the events happening downtown. Please see the street EPark machines for rates.

Please Note: The Citadel does not own or operate any of the parking facilities in or around our venue. Parking in Canada Place and the Library Parkade allows access to the theatre through the Pedway. Please allow plenty of time to park before the show begins. Downtown Edmonton is often busy in the evening and spaces may be limited.
