We’re excited to give you a sneak peek into a brand-new script we’re developing at the Citadel: a musical adaptation of The Vinyl Café by Stuart McLean! This exciting new project is envisioned as a large-scale holiday musical for the whole family, featuring Dave and Morley and many more beloved characters, and weaving together some of McLean’s most popular holiday stories, such as: “Dave Cooks the Turkey” and “Rashida, Amir and the Great Gift-Giving”.
This one-night-only presentation is a “concert reading” with a focus is on the script and music. There are no sets or costumes, but a cast of 12 performers and a 6-piece orchestra will share this new script in development. It’s a chance for you to see what we’re working on in advance of the world premiere in a future season. We hope you’ll join us!
Developed in partnership with Jess Milton, producer of The Vinyl Café radio show.
Thanks for the generous support of Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.
Free Event in the Rice Theatre.
