Please email us at auditions@citadeltheatre.com and you will receive a follow up email with details about the audition as well as a request for your headshot and bio, along with a link to a Microsoft survey form inquiring as to date(s)/time(s) and other audition-related details.
When you are ready to submit, please have your resume & headshot on hand in one combined PDF document. You will be asked to send this document as part of the submission process.
Unfortunately, we can only accept submissions that are sent before or on the deadline date.
We prioritize seeing local Artists; however, specific roles may be open to a national casting call. Please refer to the audition posting for more information.
Generally, we aim to send audition invites at least 4-5 days before your audition date. We thank you for your time and interest in submitting; however, please know only those individuals who are invited to audition will be contacted.
Your audition invitation will include a variety of information: the audition sides, songs, and dance call information (as necessary).
Yes. Depending on availability, we will have a warm-up space in which Artists can warm up with a reader and/or accompanist (as necessary). We kindly ask that Artists show up between 15 – 20 minutes prior to their audition slot if they wish to use the warm-up space.
Citadel strives for audition spaces to be as accessible and welcoming as possible. Our building is equipped with elevators and numerous accessible washrooms. Our backstage areas include elevator access and accessible washrooms.
We recognize that every individual’s experience of disability is unique, and that accessibility needs can vary. While our building is largely accessible, there are inherent challenges within our 50-year-old building. We are committed to working closely with successful candidates to ensure their access needs are supported throughout the audition and rehearsal process.
Alternate routes and access points are available. Detailed information about where to go and how to access the space is typically shared directly with successful candidates in advance. We encourage anyone who may require specific accommodations to connect with us so we can collaborate on the best possible plan for access.
We understand that this situation can come up and we kindly ask that anyone exhibiting cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms please stay home. In this event, we ask that you let us know by sending us a message to auditions@citadeltheatre.com. We will work with you to either re-schedule your audition date and time or accept a video submission.
Our audition schedules are usually full! We kindly ask that only those who have been invited attend auditions.
