The Citadel Theatre believes that equity and diversity must be at the heart of our organization. In order to make this a reality, we have made a commitment to support racialized artists at all stages of their careers in all areas of our organization. To help provide critical internal positions, training, internships, mentorship and contracts for racialized artists and theatre workers throughout the company, we’ve created the Citadel BIPOC Fund which allows patrons and donors to join us in supporting this important work.
Citadel staff and Applicants work together to put in submissions to the Fund, which are evaluated by the BIPOC Fund Sub-Committee who give their recommendations to the EDI Committee (made up of 19 board members, staff members and community stakeholders) at the Citadel who make final approvals.
