Head of Audio

The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, has an opening for a full-time permanent Head of Audio. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Head of Audio is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the audio and video department, the organization, installation, operation and maintenance of all audio and video equipment within the Citadel premises and related to the Citadel’s presentation of productions in all spaces, and tours as well as other events. This position a unionized position under the provisions of the collective agreement between Citadel Theatre and IATSE 210.

Assistant Technical Director

The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, has an opening for a full-time permanent Assistant Technical Director. The Assistant Technical Director assists the Technical Director in ensuring high quality production values for all Citadel productions and co-productions. Making appropriate use of our facilities, human, and financial resources to support the production crews.

VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBER OPPORTUNITY

The Citadel Theatre is currently seeking new members to join our Board of Directors.

Located in the heart of Edmonton’s Arts District, the Citadel Theatre is one of the largest not-for profit theatres in North America. Our expansive cultural hub features five versatile performance and event venues, welcoming more than 250,000 guests each season. Each season, we produce up to 11 productions, including our beloved annual presentation of A Christmas Carol, which together, draw a combined audience of more than 130,000. We are also home to the Foote Theatre School, where over 1,000 students each year engage in classes, workshops, and performances that spark imagination, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of theatre. The Citadel Theatre contributes to the economic vitality of the capital region, helps attract both tourists and skilled workers, and increases the quality of life for Albertans.

We are seeking members who will share our vision and will work to support the Executive Director and Artistic Director in fulfilling the Citadel Theatre’s 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.

Community Engagement Coordinator

The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, has an opening for a Community Engagement Coordinator. The Community Engagement Coordinator supports the Community Engagement team in delivering fundraising initiatives, donor and supporter events, and key administrative projects. This role helps manage data processes, monitors giving potential, and collaborates with internal teams to plan and execute community-building and stewardship events.

Grants & Database Administrator

The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, has an opening for a Grants & Database Administrator. The Grants and Database Coordinator plays a key role in the submission, reporting and management of grants and applications for The Citadel Theatre. This position will also oversee the management of donor data and processes in Tessitura, the Citadel Theatre’s CRM software. Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, this position will work closely with the Community Engagement team to support revenue generative programs.
