In an enchanted forest, mischievous fairies and four lovers collide amidst mistaken identities and tangled romances. Transporting A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM into the colorful 1970s world of soul music and rock ballads, blending Shakespeare with the era’s magic of love, freedom, and self-expression. With a soundtrack of iconic '70s music, this vibrant adaptation explores love and transformation in a time of exploration and groovy vibes.

Ruth is an Edmonton-based actor/musician originally from Scotland. Her career spans four decades in theatre and television. Ruth is co-artistic producer of “Theatre Yes” alongside her husband, director Max Rubin.

Elena Belyea is a queer and trans playwright, performer, producer, arts educator, and Artistic Director of Tiny Bear Jaws (@tinybearjaws). They were born and raised in amiskwaciwaskahikan (colonially known as Edmonton) on Treaty 6 territory, and have had works produced across Turtle Island and internationally (including Hungary, Austria, Berlin, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, and Quebec City). Elena was the recipient of the 2023 Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Musical, and their company, Tiny Bear Jaws’ production of Smoke won the 2023 Sterling Award for Outstanding Indie Production.
