This jaw-dropping, toe-tapping spectacle combines humour, fashion, and music with a burst of cultural flair that makes the classic story feel brand new. The Holiday Special adds lively Christmas surprises to the humour, electrifying dance numbers, and unforgettable tunes you know and love—along with Indigenous twists that celebrate culture and community. From rez makeovers to holiday classics, this one-of-a-kind adventure will have you laughing, grooving, and singing along. It’s a joyful celebration of the season you won’t want to miss!

We are so excited to bring Bear Grease back home to Edmonton for our special winter run at The Citadel Theatre. This show was born out of love for our people, our stories, and our laughter. It’s a celebration of Indigenous excellence, humor, and heart, wrapped in the nostalgia of Grease and the power of community.
Shack Up for Winter is our cozy, cold-weather twist on the show and a chance to gather close, sing loud, and keep the fire of joy burning through the season. We’re proud to share the stage with an all-star Indigenous cast and crew in the birthplace of Bear Grease! This production reminds us that we are still here and continuing to thrive!

Raven Bright (Navajo/Diné) is an Indigenous contemporary artist based on the occupied Tewa lands of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A proud member of the Dibéłizhiní (Black Sheep Clan) of the Diné Nation, Raven draws on over 15 years of experience in Breaking and Hip-Hop culture to create movement that connects land, culture, and community.

A longtime collaborator with Dancing Earth Creations under the visionary direction of Rulan Tangen, Raven fuses traditional knowledge with contemporary expression. “Every step you take on the dance floor is a deep heartbeat of our people. The steps ahead are already imprinted—it’s your destiny to follow and build upon them.”

Raven now brings his signature footwork and spirit to the stage as the crazy-legged “Roger” in the high-energy Indigenous musical BEAR GREASE.

Skylene Gladue aka Nipîy Iskwew (Beaver First Nation) is a powerhouse creative and community leader whose talents span film, fashion, and advocacy. She is an Actress best known for her appearances in APTN’s Merchants of the Wild and the Oscar-winning film The Revenant. An award-winning filmmaker (Be the Light), model, and fashion designer (Western Canada Fashion Week, International Hip Hop Awards), Skylene continues to break boundaries across multiple industries. She is also a passionate Motivational Speaker (Magoo Crew, Edmonton Oilers PSA, Nipîy Iskwew Consulting) and the visionary behind the “From Rez to Runway” workshop and fashion show, which builds youth confidence through style and empowers them to chase their dreams. Skylene makes her theatrical debut as the ever-deadly “Jan” in the hit musical BEAR GREASE, and will appear in the upcoming season of The Amazing Race Canada on CBC.

Mikey Harris (Sagkeeng First Nation) is a celebrated Indigenous dancer, choreographer, and educator from Winnipeg, Manitoba, known for his powerful fusion of Métis jigging and hip hop. A dynamic performer with a national presence, Mikey’s career highlights include dancing at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Parliament Hill’s New Year’s Bash, and the Indigenous Music Awards.

His talents have also been recognized on Canada’s Got Talent and Entertainment Tonight Canada, where Shania Twain praised his dancing and invited him—and his siblings—to perform live on stage during her Winnipeg concert.

Mikey’s performances have reached audiences across North America, from New York City and Puerto Vallarta to Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, and Calgary. Through his work, he strives to bring Métis jigging to younger generations while fostering cultural connection and pride. Offstage, Mikey remains grounded in family, fueled by a deep passion for movement, tradition, and storytelling. Bear Grease proudly welcomes Mikey as “Butta” in our Off-Broadway debut.

Tammy Rae Lamouche (Whitefish Lake / Gift Lake Métis) is a celebrated Recording Artist, Educator, and Performer, holding a Degree in Education and Native Studies from the University of Alberta. With a voice rooted in tradition and a passion for storytelling, Tammy performed Le Grand Ménage des Fêtes! (TV5 Monde), broadcasted to over 200 countries worldwide.

Her theatrical credits include CIVIL BLOOD: A Treaty Story (Thou Art Here Theatre) and her unforgettable role as “Rezzo” in the smash-hit Indigenous musical BEAR GREASE, where her dynamic presence continues to captivate audiences across Turtle Island.

Rodney McLeod (Frog Lake Nation) is an emerging Actor and Martial Artist making waves both on screen and stage. His screen credits include TIN STAR (Prime Video) and the award-winning short film LOST FACE. A dedicated practitioner of Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu, Rodney brings physicality, heart, and humor to his theatrical debut as the lovable “Canuckie” in the hit Indigenous musical BEAR GREASE.

In recognition of his artistic achievements and rising impact, Rodney was honored with the 2024 Okimaw Award for “Jimmy Herman Creative Arts.

Bryce Morin (Enoch Cree Nation, Treaty 6 – Alberta) is an acclaimed Actor, Vocalist, Cultural Educator, Traditional Drummer/Singer, and Storyteller. He has recently taken the theatre world by storm with his breakout performance as “Danny” in the all-star, Indigenous hit musical BEAR GREASE.

Bryce’s powerful stage presence and cultural authenticity have earned him recognition across Turtle Island. His past theatrical credits include CIVIL BLOOD: A Treaty Story (Thou Art Here Theatre) and IN-COR-RI-GO-BLE: The Legend of Thundervoice (Blyth Festival, University of Alberta). With a voice that echoes generations and a spirit rooted in tradition, Bryce continues to inspire and educate through the arts.

Brandon “Bamm” Roberts is Diné (Navajo) Naakaii clan (Mexican people) and Ojibwey (Chippewa) Red Lake, Seven Nations Bear clan. He is a multifaceted, Native American, Hip Hop artist that comes from Lawrence, Kansas known for his dynamic talents and unwavering commitment to his heritage. As a dancer he is proficient in multiple styles including, Breakin, Locking, Poppin, House, New Jack swing, Jazz, Improv and commercial choreography. Bamm mesmerizes with his graceful moves, infusing every step with the richness of his cultural and Breakin moves from Hip Hop roots. Beyond the dance floor, Brandon is a dedicated crew representative, uniting artistic minds to create powerful expressions.

Brandon’s portfolio is a testament to his versatility, with modeling showcasing his striking presence, and painting revealing his neo-traditional artistry. He takes the helm as an artistic director, guiding innovative projects that bridge tradition and modernity. As a fashion designer, he crafts attire that’s fresh, funky, and culturally resonant.

But Brandon’s influence extends beyond his artistic realms. He’s a motivational speaker, inspiring others to embrace their heritage and find strength in their roots. In his role as a warrior, he defends and promotes the beauty of Hip Hop and Native American culture, always rooted in its flavors and traditions. Brandon “Bamm” Roberts encapsulates a blend of tradition and contemporary, with a style that’s neo-traditional, cultural, and undeniably fresh. His creative journey is a testament to his dedication to preserving and evolving the rich tapestry of Hip Hop and Native American heritage.

Haley Robinson (Muskeg Lake Cree Nation / Filipinx) is a proud 2-Spirit Actor, Model, and Content Creator who brings heart and authenticity to every role. They are known for their work in ONLY YOU: An Animation Shorts Collection (HBO Max) and national commercial campaigns, including Hyundai (YouTube).

Haley is a passionate advocate for 2-Spirit and Indigenous representation in media, using their platform to speak openly about identity, culture, and visibility. A lifelong lover of musical theatre, dance, and singing, their favorite musical is Wicked.

Haley now lights up the stage as the fiery and unforgettable “Marty” in the smash-hit Indigenous musical BEAR GREASE.

Shannon Rodríguez Sweeney (Rarámuri) is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised on Tongva Land. A classically trained singer and dancer, Shannon has been performing in musicals for over 20 years and has recorded backing vocals for many Indigenous musicians, including Tia Wood and Astral Jubilee. Shannon also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Editing and has worked on the post-production teams for TV shows such as Atlanta, Reservation Dogs and What We Do In the Shadows. Starting in November 2025, you can catch Shannon as ‘Sandy’ in the all-Indigenous musical Bear Grease.

Allyssa Trujillo (Zuni/Laguna) is a multidisciplinary dancer from Gallup, New Mexico, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Coming from a mixed cultural and dance background, she is known for her polychromatic identity, versatility, and dynamic stage presence. Allyssa travels the globe, most recently representing Waacking Team USA at Queen of Disco 2025 in Guangzhou, China, performing burlesque at House of Yes (NYC), modelling/dancing at SWAIA Native Fashion Week (NM), curating shows at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, immersive theatre at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival (TN) and Meow Wolf Santa Fe, and teaching at Konaway Nika Tillicum (OR), MĀORILAND (New Zealand), and Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts (NM). Allyssa holds a BA in Contemporary Dance from the University of New Mexico and has 15 years of experience in studio, street, pole, and other cultural dance forms.

Allyssa considers her artistry to be a montage of her lived experience, community, mentors, and ancestors. She has found solace and belonging through dance and believes in sharing her art to connect and foster unity, empathy, and a world of vibrant creativity and culture.

Abigail Beaver (Diné/Navajo) is a musical theatre performer from Phoenix, Arizona, based between New York City and Northern Colorado. An AMDA graduate with a BFA in Musical Theatre, she is known for her sincerity, versatility, and heart on stage. A multifaceted artist, Abigail also writes, produces, composes, and choreographs; honoring her roots and storytelling through every form of her art. She joins the Winter 2025 Tour as an understudy.

Crystle Lightning (Canadian Screen Award winner for Best Actress in a Drama Series, 2021) is a powerhouse performing artist, director, and storyteller from the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta. Her journey in entertainment began at just nine years old, when the Lightning family moved from Canada to Los Angeles, where Crystle booked her first starring role in the feature film 3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up. She has been captivating audiences on both sides of the border ever since. A graduate of the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse, one of Hollywood’s most respected acting institutions, Lightning’s career reflects both her talent and her trailblazing spirit. Her diverse body of work spans film, television, and voice acting, with standout credits including Outlander(Starz), Trickster (The CW), The Good Doctor (ABC), Three Pines (Prime Video), Lawmen: Bass Reeves (Paramount+), Spirit Rangers (Netflix), Fancy Dance(Apple TV+) opposite Oscar-nominated actress Lily Gladstone, Mary Margaret Road Grader (produced by George R. R. Martin), and Ghosts (CBS). Most recently, she wrapped filming the upcoming USA Network drama Anna Pigeon, premiering in early 2026.

Beyond the screen, Crystle is breaking barriers in theatre as the Co-Creator and Director of Bear Grease, the global smash-hit Indigenous musical that reimagines the 1978 classic Grease through an electrifying Native lens. The production made its Off-Broadway debut in New York City this past summer, where it made history as the longest-running Indigenous musical in Broadway history.

With each role and project, Crystle Lightning continues to redefine what it means to be Indigenous, female and fearless in entertainment, lighting the way for the next generation of storytellers around the world.

Henry Cloud Andrade (Wixárika/Mexican) is a Playwrite, Actor (Yellowstone, Hey, Viktor!), a member of the freestyle improv troupe Free Daps (Downtown Disney, Florida), and a former world record holder for Longest Freestyle Rap (18 hours). He is also Crystle Lightning’s partner in rhyme and co-creator of the smash-hit Indigenous musical, Bear Grease. Fresh out of their Off-Broadway debut, Bear Grease, became the longest-running Indigenous musical in Broadway history.

Together, Henry and Crystle form the powerhouse duo LightningCloud; playwrights, composers, and artists committed to trailblazing work in the performing arts. Winners of the Aboriginal/Indigenous Music Awards for Best Hip Hop Duo and Best New Artists, they also claimed championship titles in both LA’s Power 106 Battle for the Best and NYC’s Hot 97 Who’s Next?. Their success led to production by legendary producer Timbaland and a coveted spot on Power 106’s POWERHOUSE TOUR, opening for artists like Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky, The Game and Chris Brown.

Jinting Zhao is an Edmonton-based producer, audio engineer, and international songwriter working out of Up In Arms Studios. Her credits include a placement on Koichi Domoto’s 2025 #1 charting album in Japan, as well as production and engineering work for Canada’s Music Incubator, Jully Black, Melafrique, Elle McAndrews, and Daggerss, among many others. Her work has been featured on Amazon Prime, CityTV, Crave, and NHL broadcasts. She was a co-producer on the Sterling Award-nominated Bear Grease cast score and soundtrack. In 2025 she was nominated for Changemaker of the Year by Women in Music Canada and received a UnIversity of Alberta Alumni Award for founding SHE-Q Audio, a national organization dedicated to advancing women in music production and engineering. Jinting also serves on the Polaris Music Prize board and the JUNO Awards Producer of the Year Committee.

In 2018 Nato applied his detailed approach and knowledge into building the new Up In Arms Studios, a space he conceived with an artist-first approach and constructed from the ground up.

Since then, Nato has continued to build momentum to become one of Canada’s most sought after engineers for top hip hop artists, including platinum-certified Canadian hip hop prodigy Merkules, with whom Nato has been working with since the beginning of his career. He has also worked closely with other top talent like Jelly Roll, Snak the Ripper, Drezus, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Sinzere, Polaris Prize-winning artist Cadence Weapon, and CBC Searchlight winner Mattmac. He’s worked on projects featuring some of hip hop’s all time greats, including Too Short, Twista, Hopsin, Benny the Butcher, and Bone Thugs N Harmony.

Nato is also a talented producer and DJ, and forms one half of the acclaimed Edmonton hip hop duo, Touch & Nato.

Dustin Vince is a multifaceted creative professional from Edmonton, Alberta, who made a
transformative leap at age 22, leaving behind the oil fields to pursue his passion for music, film,
and visual storytelling. Today, he stands as the owner and driving force behind Red Room Studios, one of Edmonton’s leading recording and film production facilities.

Over the years, Dustin has worked with an impressive roster of talent including Tory Lanez, Pressa, Ruth B, Lil Durk, Jadakiss, and many more, showcasing his versatility and technical mastery across genres and mediums.

As a producer, director, and engineer, Dustin has helmed projects for major brands and public figures such as Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi, Meineke, Apple Music, and Sonos Radio.
His work on Bear Grease the Musical, providing both audio and visuals since its 2021 debut,
highlights his ongoing commitment to elevating Indigenous and Canadian artistry on stage and screen.

A true jack-of-all-trades, Dustin bridges the worlds of music, film, and entrepreneurship,
excelling in every stage of production, from concept development and recording to mixing, mastering, and final delivery. His career reflects not only technical excellence, but a relentless creative drive to bring bold ideas to life
