Kate’s debut folk-jazz album, Under a Dancing Sky, pays tribute to Joni Mitchell, and traces her influence on Kate’s artistry. UADS won the Edmonton Music Award for Jazz Recording of the Year and has received radioplay across Canada. Kate recently created a concert series called, Musical Mornings, for children ages 1-5, at the Winspear Centre, which she also performs in as Miss Kate! A thoughtful guitarist, songwriter, and community organizer, Gareth Gilliland’s approach to music unifies genres and champions multi-disciplinary collaboration. He is one of Edmonton’s busiest guitarists, performing with Aladean Kheroufi, Alex Vissia, the Edmonton Jazz Orchestra and many more. Gareth is also the co-creator of the weekly show and jam New Standards held every Wednesday evening.
