Performer
Ava is an Edmonton based actress. Her credits include Gretchen in Mean Girls, Francesca in The Welfare Lady (Leduc Composite High School); Helena in The Clover Report (MusicalMania!). For her role in The Welfare Lady she received the award for Outstanding Performance in a Lead Role at the Zone 4E One Act Festival. She would like to thank her parents for driving her to rehearsals and her friends and extended family for their undying support. Thank you so much.
BEN HEALEY
Performer
Ben Healey is a queer, multidisciplinary artist from Edmonton/Amiskwacîwâskahikan. Acting credits include Ambiance (Ghost Girl Productions); The Addams Family, Annie, and The Lion King Jr. (Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts). Ben has directed a handful of short films including Ambiance (Ghost Girl Productions) and is excited about their next upcoming film, Pink Lemonade. Thank you to the outstanding Young Company members and, of course, my family for the support!
PENNY-JEAN LOUNSBURY
Performer
Penny-Jean is a passionate actor and student at the Citadel Theatre’s Young Company Program. Her past credits include roles in Hit and Misdemeanor (Winston High School); A Christmas Carol (Didsbury High School); The Trial of Hansel And Gretel, The Last Straw, Phantom of the Horse Opera, and Murder Most Foul (Westglen School). She would like to thank her parents, and grandparents, for supporting her interests and adoration for the world of theatre.
FINN MCNALLY
Performer
Finn (He/They) is a passionate queer artist based in (Amiskwaciwâskahikan), Treaty 6 Territory, and of Mi’kmaq heritage. He has taken on roles as an actor, director and technician. Finn has been an essential part of the previous Strathcona One-Acts Festival. He made an appearance in Punch Up by Kat Sandler and All That’s Left by Liam Salmon, which advanced to provincial level. He was a key part of Spring Awakening the play, with Strathcona’s Company Play Productions. Finn is excited to work alongside all the lovely team members.
SEBASTIAN MELO
Performer
Sebastian is an emerging artist based in Edmonton. His previous experience includes The Princess and The Pea (Underdog Theatre Company – Edmonton International Fringe Festival); The Spongebob Musical, Matilda: The Musical, Mary Poppins: The Musical, Post-Its: Notes On A Marriage, and Lupe and the F-Train Monster (Victoria School of The Arts), among other productions. Sebastian is very excited to share this piece alongside such talented artists. He’d like to thank his family for supporting his passion, and everyone who has inspired him to dream this big.

Cassie is an Edmonton-based actor. She has been in multiple school productions as an actor and director including Darcy’s Cinematic Life (Millwoods Christian School); The Totally True Story of How We Met and Fell In Love, She Loves Me, All In the Timing, Disney Dimensions, Newsies, and Concord Floral (J. Percy Page High School). She would like to thank all the teachers that mentored and supported her through her schooling, and to her Mom for being the one to create her love of theatre in the first place.

Sadie is an Edmonton based actor and student. Acting credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Willy Wonka, Appropriate Audience Behaviour, Perfect, High School Musical (Paul Kane High School Theatre); Mary Poppins (Bellerose Composite High School Theatre). Sadie has been the assistant director for Little Shop of Horrors (Paul Kane High School Theatre) and the assistant musical director for Willy Wonka (Paul Kane High School Theatre). Sadie is very excited to be a part of Is My Microphone On?! Love, as always, to Mama and Dad.

Ashley Marie is an Edmonton-based actor who cannot wait to work with her fellow amazing and
very talented classmates. She’s acted in a total of two shows under her high school Oscar
Romero. This includes Fame! The Musical and Murder On the Orient Express. Ashley Marie fell
in love with the art of theatre and is very eager to perform this show. She would like to give a
special thanks to her mom and brother for constantly believing in her.

Karam Warraich is an Edmonton-based actor. Select acting credits include: Picnic At Hanging Rock, Mustard (which he both directed and acted in), Anon(ymous), She Kills Monsters (Lillian Osborne High School); Falstaff And The Merry Wives (Edmonton International Fringe Festival). Upcoming productions include Into The Woods (Lillian Osborne High School) and an upcoming show at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival. Karam would like to thank his family, friends (including his Young Company classmates), and his mentors including Mel Bahniuk and Luc Tellier.
ELENI ANGELOS
Shadow Director
Eleni is an Edmonton based playwright, songwriter and actress. Select acting credits include Electra, Falstaff And The Merry Wives (TN Summer Academy) and PUFFS (McNally). She was assistant stage manager for Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time and was the marketing lead for The Play That Goes Wrong (McNally). She also wrote, acted, and directed plays What Would She Say? and Could Never Be Me (NextFest). She is a former member of the Young Playwriting Company at the Citadel Theatre.

Kiyoko is a Fashion and Costume designer: Previous credits include costume work on Mamma Mia!, Peter Pan, Fiddler on the Roof, Newsies, Les Miserables, Aladdin (Broadway Bound); Design work on Jasper in Deadland, Costume and Wardrobe work on Urinetown (Village Theater). She has previously created six look fashion collection Harmonics Borealis featured on MC College New Designer Show and Nulla Art & Fashion Collective.

Avery is an Edmonton-based aspiring theatre professional. She has been acting for many years, but is now exploring the world of technical theatre and couldn’t be more excited about it! Acting credits include: Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Elf the Musical, Oklahoma! (Festival Place); Romeo and Juliet, Little Women the Musical, The Secret Garden, Matilda, and Annie Jr. (Archbishop Jordan High School). Technical credits include: lighting board operation, sound design, set building, scenic painting. She wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her.

Awards include Outstanding Stage Management for Break Fast (Zone 3 One Act Festival).

Cynthia is excited to be a part of the Citadel Young Company. Her past credits include Production Manager for Selfie and Robin of Sherwood, Stage Manager for Matilda Jr. and Ashland Falls, Student Director for Death of a Dead Guy and The Mad Tea Party (R.F. Staples Secondary School); and will be directing two upcoming high school performances at R.F. Staples Secondary School: Moonbow Miraculous and Crafting a Killer. Cynthia would like to thank her high school drama teacher, Mrs. Bowsfield, for introducing her to the world of backstage theatre.

Brett Dahl is a proud alumnus of the Young Company and so honoured to be back here working with this incredible team! Selected Directing Credits: Troilus and Cressida (Studio Theatre); Strange/Familiar (Theatre Outré), Hecuba (University of Alberta); Pretty Ugly (Alberta Queer Calendar Project). Assistant Directing Credits: The Importance of Being Earnest (Citadel Theatre); The Prom (Nuova); Men Express Their Feelings and rihannaboi95 (Downstage); King Lear (The Shakespeare Company). Brett is a graduate of the BFA-Acting and MFA-Directing programs from the UofA. Brett was the recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Emerging Artist Award in 2018 and the RBC Emerging Artist Cultural Leader Award in 2020. Brett is currently the Artistic Director of Theatre Outré.

Mel Bahniuk (she/they) is a queer, second generation Ukrainian Canadian multidisciplinary artist residing in Edmonton (Treaty 6). She is an actor, arts administrator, producer and educator. Citadel Young Company: Program Assistant & Assistant Director for Bad Hats Theatre’s Peter Pan. Elsewhere: Ava in Mermaid Legs (SkirtsAFire), Patty Simcox in Grease (WCT), Alina (Pyretic Productions), OMA (TELUS Storyhive) and They Who Surround Us (Troy Ruptash). They are so proud of these amazing students who she has had the pleasure of hanging out with since September, and watching them grow into some extraordinary artists.
ANDRAYA DIOGO
Stage Manager
Andraya (she/her) is an emerging artist from amiskwaciwâskahikan. She works as a freelance stage/production designer/manager most interested in abstract, conceptual stage design, and colour-coded, clean paperwork. Andraya holds a BFA in Theatre Production from the University of Alberta. PREVIOUS: Flashback Documentary (Tangerine Productions LTD) as Assistant Art Director, Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes (Theatre Network) as Associate Production Designer, The Hooves Belonged to the Deer (In Arms Theatre Collective) as Assistant Stage Manager. DEREK MIILLER
Sound Designer
Notable work: Hecuba, After Faust, THE DEVILS, Catalyst Theatre’s Nevermore (Sound Assistant), Strange Familiar, Troilus & Cressida. An alumnus of the University of Alberta’s BFA program, Derek is a composer and sound designer entering a career in the entertainment industry. With a musical background on numerous instruments, most notably as a jazz drummer, he has performed and worked behind the scenes across Alberta. You can also find him as a technician at the Citadel Theatre, Theatre Calgary, and numerous other theatrical endeavours. Derek is a Métis and LGBTQIA+ creative who strives to help amplify voices lesser heard through his compositions and design.
RORY TURNER
Lighting Designer
Rory is a designer, performer, and theatre maker from the prairies. He attended the Theatre Arts program at MacEwan University and studied theatre design at the University of Alberta. He is a design instructor at the Citadel’s Foote Theatre School and the lighting designer for Common Ground Arts’ RISER production development projects. Recent design credits: The Immaculate Perfection… (Body Cube Arts), Hyena’s Trail (Here For Fear Collective), Helen (Trunk Theatre), MINE, In My Own Little Corner, Omisimawiw, After Faust, The Debut (Common Ground Arts).
