Alex is an Alberta-based artist and is so thrilled to be working on this madness of a play with such a talented team of artists and creators! Vanessa Leticia Jetté is a Mexican-Canadian artist based out of Calgary. Her select acting credits include: A Christmas Carol 2019-23, The Mousetrap, Little Women, Hamlet (Theatre Calgary); The Extractionist, Clue, Sherlock Holmes and The Vanishing Thimble (Vertigo Theatre); Premium Content (Major Matt Mason Collective); The Strid (Downstage Theatre); Hamlet Frequency (One Yellow Rabbit/The Shakespeare Company); In and Out of Love, Radioheaded Three (One Yellow Rabbit). Ray is a Winnipeg-born Theatre Artist of Filipino and Grenadian descent. Ray trained with the Black Hole Theatre Company, and at The Banff Centre, and has been previously seen at The Citadel in The Tempest, Shakespeare in Love, and most recently as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in The Mountaintop. Recent theatre directing credits include: The Velveteen Rabbit (Manitoba Theatre for Young People) and Hedda Gabler (Echo Theatre). Ray will be directing King James (RMTC), and the World Premiere of Billie and The Moon (Manitoba Theatre for Young People) in 2025. Ray can also be seen on The Porter (CBC Gem/BET).

Daniela is an award-winning Canadian actor & playwright. Recently, John appeared in The Three Musketeers, as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (Citadel); Little Shop of Horrors (Arts Club/Citadel); Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes (Theatre Network); and performed in the Spiegeltent at K-Days with Firefly Theatre. John is very familiar to The Citadel Theatre. Favourite roles include: Matilda (RMTC/Citadel/Arts Club); Beauty and the Beast (Citadel/Theatre Calgary); Cabaret, The Pillowman, Rocky Horror Show, and Death of a Salesman (Citadel). He has worked across the country in many theatres from The Segal Centre in Montreal to The Belfry Theatre in Victoria.

Dennis is a theatre director, author, and avid hiker. His was the Artistic Director at Theatre Calgary and the Grand Theatre. Directing highlights include: Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird (Citadel / RMTC). Clue (RMTC / Grand); Cabaret, Timothy Findley’s The Wars (Grand Theatre); world premiere of musical The Little Prince (Theatre Calgary); Barber of Seville (Florida Grand Opera / Opera Lyra / Vancouver Opera); King Lear (Theatre Calgary / Bard on the Beach); Carmen, La Traviata (Pacific Opera); West Side Story (Bangkok University); Stratford Festival (four seasons); Shaw Festival (six seasons). Recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Dennis published his first novel in 2022: TOWARD BEAUTY recounts his 830 km walk cross Spain.

Beyata is an Edmonton-based set & costume designer currently living with a beloved household of friends and dogs. When not galivanting around with them, she splits her time between out-of-province contracts and building maquettes. She has an especial love for shows that embrace the absurd, musically driven pieces, and has an incredibly soft spot for Sondheim. On a good day, she can juggle a bit. Selected credits include: The Secret Garden, Village Wooing, Playboy of the Western World, Overruled, Bright Lights (Shaw Festival); The Inheritance (CanStage); Chris, Mrs. (Boldly Productions); Little Shop of Horrors (Artsclub/Citadel); Jersey Boys (Citadel); Metronome, Mob (Workshop West). Catch her work next year with Heist (The Grand/Citadel) and with Shaw’s 2025 season.
Joseph Abetria,
Costume Designer
Joseph is excited to be with the Citadel Theatre for the first time! He is a queer Filipino theatre designer from Treaty No.1 territory, and is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg. Some of his select costume design credits include: The Comeback, The Piano Teacher, Calpurnia, Bang Bang (RMTC); Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Grand Ghosts (The Grand); Snow White, Spelling 2-5-5 (MTYP). Joseph also worked as an assistant costume designer in shows such as Othello, The Neverending Story, The Rocky Horror Show, Romeo & Juliet (Stratford Festival)
Dave Pierce and Donovan Seidle,
Sound Designer and Sound Associate
This is the first time Alberta based composers Dave Pierce and Donovan Seidle intend it goes wrong! The music sound design team led by Emmy awarded Dave Pierce is known for global spectacles and theatrical experiences. Marking 30 years as collaborators, Donovan joins Dave for a return to Citadel, TC and MTC. Previously, the duo have done the following things right: Vancouver 2010 Olympics; World Expo Dubai; Radio City Music Hall 75th; Alberta Royal Visit 2005; Canada’s Walk of Fame; NBC Christmas with Michael Bublé (5 seasons); Grammy’s Sinatra 100; Tony Awards (Twyla Tharp’s Sinatra); National Tours: Thoroughly Modern Millie/Crazy For You/Chicago/Annie Get Your Gun/Swing. 2024 marks 30 years of music for The Calgary Stampede’s Grandstand Show. www.davepiercemusic.com

Lighting Designer
Kimberly is a lighting designer for theatre, opera and dance. Previously for The Citadel she designed Rubaboo, Almost a Full Moon, The Candidate, The Party, Mamma Mia!, Alice Through The Looking Glass. She has designed for Mirvish Productions, Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, Soulpepper Theatre, National Arts Centre and the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Pacific Opera Victoria, Opera Philadelphia, Edmonton Opera, Theatre Calgary, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, among many others. She is the recipient of three Dora Mavor Moore Awards, the Pauline McGibbon Award, a Montreal English Theatre Award, and an Elizabeth Sterling Award. Kimberly is the VP of the Associated Designers of Canada.

Morgan works as an actor, fight director, arts educator and Co-Artistic Producer of Azimuth Theatre. Her focus lies in new work and physical-based theatre. With the Citadel, recent projects include: Prison Dancer, Pride and Prejudice, Clue, The Fiancée and 9 to 5: The Musical as a Fight Director, Almost a Full Moon as an Assistant Director, The Three Musketeers, Pride and Prejudice, Delay – The Horizon Lab as an actor. Daniel Fong is a mixed-race actor, singer and voiceover performer born and raised in Calgary Alberta. He is proud to be a guest of the long tradition of storytelling in the Treaty 6 region of Alberta and hopes to continue lifting up and creating art with the communities he loves.
