“Can I have a definition?” Students in this specialized two-week Acting course will devise a brand new play about the trials and tribulations of students in the school Spelling Bee! Follow the twists and turns of creating this new story, including basic design elements to be incorporated into the camp showcase on Friday, July 24, and get ready for some serious F-U-N! Who knows, we may even need to use our Improv chops as special-guest spellers from the audience join us onstage…!

Step into the spotlight in this wickedly exciting Spring Break camp! Designed for performers who are eager to elevate their performance skills, get ready to dive deep into the world of musical theatre as you train in acting, singing, and dancing. You’ll hone your vocal techniques, master choreography, and collaborate with fellow aspiring performers on devising an Ozian-inspired performance to be shared on the final day of camp (Thurdsay afternoon). Don’t miss your chance to take your talent to the next level!

Spring Break camps run from 9:00am-4:00pm with one hour for lunch. Additional supervision is offered from 8:30am-9:00am and 4:00-4:30pm at no additional cost.

Emerald City Adventures

  • Ages: 8-11

Spend your Spring Break travelling down the Yellow Brick Road! Through games, improvisation, and exploration of performance techniques, you will build confidence and teamwork skills while unlocking your inner creativity. Using L. Frank Baum’s classic novel, “The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz” as inspiration, you will spend the week creating a new, Ozian-inspired performance to be shared on the final day of camp (Thursday afternoon).

Students registering for this class will be divided into groups of 16. If you have questions or requests about groupings or class times, please contact us at theatreschool@citadeltheatre.com.

Spring Break camps run from 9:00am-4:00pm with one hour for lunch. Additional supervision is offered from 8:30am-9:00am and 4:00-4:30pm at no additional cost.
