Acting (with Stage Combat!)

  • Ages: 14-17

Punch up your performance skills in this exciting Spring Break camp! Students will work together to devise a contemporary play inspired by the swashbuckling “Cyrano de Bergerac,” complete with daily Stage Combat workshops from a local theatre professional. Explore character creation and physical storytelling techniques in this hands-on experience, culminating in a performance on the final day of camp (Thursday afternoon).

Spring Break camps run from 9:00am-4:00pm with one hour for lunch. Additional supervision is offered from 8:30am-9:00am and 4:00-4:30pm at no additional cost.

Acting Ensemble

Looking for the next step in your journey as an actor? This year-long Ensemble class is the perfect opportunity for you to continue developing your skills in a fun and supportive environment!

Please note that a high level of commitment is required for this class. To best support your fellow Ensemble members, anyone with multiple absences may not be able to perform in the final presentation. Students may not be absent for any classes in March, including the final presentation.

Our schedule is designed so students may enroll in both the Acting and Musical Theatre Ensembles. Students who register for both courses receive a 15% multiclass discount.

The final presentation will take place in Zeidler Hall at the Citadel on March 15, 2025. Exact performance time will be shared in the Fall.

Theatre Kids! Dog Days of Summer

  • Ages: 6-8

Discover the world of acting and music! Learn drama games, vocal warm-ups and songs, improvisation and so much more. This class is perfect for all young perfomers! Students will also learn about the design process and contribute to the visual concept of their final showcase on Friday!

The theme for this week’s camp is “The Dog Days of Summer.”

All summer camps run from 9:00am-4:00pm with one hour for lunch. We also provide extended supervision from 8:30am-9:00am and 4:00-4:30pm at no additional cost.

Story Explorers

  • Ages: 4-5

Calling all storytellers! Every day, we will read a new story together as a group, and then bring the story to life through character exercises and drama games. This half-day camp runs from 9:00am-noon and provides the perfect opportunity for kids to try out the Foote Theatre School!

Story Explorers! runs from 9am-noon. We also provide extended supervision from 8:30am-9:00am, and noon-12:30pm at no additional cost. Due to the shortened day, the lunch program is not extended to The Story Explorers!.
