I Can Pretend Too!

I Can Pretend! teaches children with Autism how to play with peers and form relationships – something that they typically struggle with. Through drama children learn imaginative play skills and hone social skills. It is a program that is based on research supporting how children with Autism learn. and uses best practice teaching including picture schedules, familiar routines, repetition and reward.

Over the course of the week students will be introduced to new and exciting aspects of drama as they work to build an ensemble and create a performance. Students will also learn about the design process and contribute to the visual concept of their final performance on Friday!
