Musical Theatre Intensive

Our two-week Intensives are designed for advanced and dedicated students who are looking for an opportunity to further hone their skills. Guided by a team of experienced theatre professionals, you and your classmates will work as an ensemble to create a final performance to be shared at the end of the program. If you are a teen with a love for performing and determination to grow as an artist, this is the program for you!

All summer camps run from 9:00am-4:00pm with one hour for lunch. We also provide extended supervision from 8:30am-9:00am and 4:00-4:30pm at no additional cost.

Hone your acting chops in a full week of character work, scene study and performances techniques. Learn how your physical, vocal and emotional choices work together to create characters and tell stories onstage. Students will also learn about the design process and contribute to the visual concept of their final showcase on Friday!

The theme for this week’s camp is “Money, Money, Money!”

Acting, singing and dancing – learn to do it all in Musical Theatre! Explore vocal techniques, learn choreography, dive into scene work and showcase it all at the end of the week. Acting – The Yellow Brick Road Trip

Ages: 11-14
Date: July 14-25

Start the car! Students in this specialized two-week Acting course will devise a brand new play about a road trip like you’ve never seen before. The bags are packed and everyone’s ready to hit the road, but when the GPS starts acting strangely, summer vacation makes a quick u-turn…! Follow the twists and turns of creating this new story, including basic design elements to be incorporated into the camp showcase on July 25.

Are you a teen with a creative vision for the stage? Working with professional designers and creators, our Production & Design students will have a hand in creating the prop, costume, and design elements for our Performance Lab production of The Wizard Of Oz: Youth Edition. No prior experience in Design is required to register in this camp.

The final presentation will take place on the Zeidler stage at the Citadel on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
